Wein being random

i will be flying home in 7 days.

instead of being ecstatic, i'm quite numbed by it. i can't help wondering if it's my mind dampening everything that i'm expecting. i've been let down so many times over the years when i yearn for something too much, i get disappointed when things don't turn out the way i thought they would. i guess i should just allow everything to fall in place. let things happen. instead of planning ahead, and let myself down. another reason could be because i've not been home in 10 months! which is very very long. haven't been away from home that long. maybe i got used to being on my own. but i still do miss home. i miss my parents, my family, my friends, my room, my Affie (which reminds me that i've yet to introduce him to date), my piano. not sure if that's still applicable. they've gotten rid of my old piano and replaced it with a mini grand. have not seen it. have not touched it. so i cannot miss it can i? alrite then. i'll say that i miss playing the piano. happy? bah. i miss malaysian food too!! i wanna eat so many things when i get back.

Old Town!! i'm coming!!

i'm still in manchester, will be here till the 15th. a day before i fly home. there's no point in returning to cork so early. my room is practically empty. i've got no bedding. and no food. besides the baileys ice cream in my freezer. so, wein will be in manchester for another 5 days!

haven't been doing much lately. basically sleeping my time away. i finished my book, Not a penny more, not a penny less. it is superb. letting you into detail about something, and suddenly twisting the ending just when you thought the story has resolved. typical of Jeffrey Archer. i bought 3 books on Amazon, all written by him, only to realise that i've actually read 1 of them. so gotta send it back to Amazon for a refund. will be starting another one of his books after i finish this post. To Cut a Long Story Short, another one of his collection of short stories. if you do get your hands on his short stories, believe me, you'll be hooked to them for dear life!


i spent a good 4 hours shopping in town that day. bought myself a red tube dress which i would love to show but will save it till the occasion when i actually wear it. sat at Starbucks for 45 mins while waiting for qiheng to return from his training session. tomorrow after his final training session, we'll proceed down to town, again. this time to get a guidebook for our trip in August. will be heading to Italy and Sweden. I can't wait. it'll be the 3 of us, Elin, Qiheng and i. It'll be so fun! i also have to get jerseys for Jun Seong. hopefully they're available at the sports store.

oh and i also wanna get some agar-agar from Chinatown. we went to this chinese restaurant for dim sum that day. and stumbled upon this really nice jelly, kuk fa kei zi gou (chrysanthemum jelly). i wanna try make some. when go home can make for mommy and daddy to eat. hehe. i think they'll like it. at least i hope they will ^^
