the other day i cooked the Aglio Olio (so hard to pronounce this. it took E quite long to get me to say it right. i kept going Aglia Olio. hehe) which didn't look so good on camera, but tasted really may i add :) so i tried again today. I cooked salmon & asparagus spaghetti in mushroom sauce. i took Sinny's advice to make my food more presentable, i.e. make it higher and pour some olive oil on the plate. it is so much harder to do than it sounds *sigh* or maybe it's just that i have no talent for this at all. anyway, i figured that in order for it to look good, the portion should not be too big, just like the food in those fine dining places which all come in tiny portions. that was what i was going for.
i took a forkful of spaghetti and blobbed it onto a plate. i then added a few chunks of salmon and some asparagus on top. i even took the trouble to arrange the asparagus properly. i wanted to trickle the mushroom sauce around on the plate but it was too viscous, so tak jadi. i also added a slice of lemon by the side and tried pouring a line of olive oil by the side but what i got was a puddle of it *sweats*
this is what i got after all my effort. it doesn't look good somehow. maybe it's my photography skill :(

and after i took the picture above, i dumped placed the rest of the spaghetti and the sauce on the plate. this is how my food usually looks haha.
not as bad as it sounds, eh? i think this picture looks better
cooked too much and am super satiated now.. regret finishing it all... *pats tummy*

today i called my patient who's supposed to be coming in tomorrow morning to confirm his attendance only to find out that he cannot make it tomorrow. it's the second time now! hmm.. should i get rid of him? ^^ anyway, i'm kinda glad that he canceled, as i've got full days all this week. can die! so i didn't bother getting another patient to take his place. am just gonna skip the session tomorrow morning and get a good night's rest in preparation for tomorrow afternoon! i'm starting my first endodontics (root canal treatment) tomorrow! uhhh...scary... hope all goes well.
p/s: Q is coming in 2 days! yay! gonna watch A Christmas Carol in 3D and lots lots more ^^
