hi there!
wein is back! hehe. yea back from 10 days in italy. well been back for 5 days now. but never got the time to update my blog. hehe. clinical has begun. saw this really gross case today. a patient with a swollen lip as a result of trauma. gosh was i freaked out! i got all dizzy and i could feel the blood drain from my head. had to step out of the room to recollect myself. i've got 2 more sessions of those. wonder how many more yucky cases i'll see.
enough of clinical. now about my last 2 weeks. as i said, i was in italy. i've got loads of pictures to put up. will upload some and leave the rest to later. most of the picts of me are in my mom's camera. so i'll just have to wait till i get home to get those pictures. i can't depend on my mom to send them over. *sigh* it'll take forever.

ITALY DAY #1
flew from Manchester to Milan. the journey was not too bad. the flight was rather empty so i had a whole row of seats to myself. managed to sleep through more than half the journey. arrived in Milan before i knew it^^
had the hotel airport shuttle pick me up from the airport. they came in a mini bus. the hotel was located in some secluded area. no shops or anything around. just some houses scattered around like the hair on my dad's head ^^ sorry daddy. hihi.
here's the hotel. Crowne Plaza Milan Malpensa.
nice nice big bed. the not so nice part is that i slept only 3 hours that night! sucks doesn't it? my sleep problem is here to stay. notice the two silver "sesunguts" beside the two bedside lamps? hehe. anyone who can guess what they are will get a chocolate bar from mua.
the same room. notice the TV. and the really comfy lazy chair in the corner. laid there all night reading Jeffrey Archer's Cat O'Nine Tales. yay! which means 1 thing accomplished from my Things to do After my Exams list.

my dinner for the night. grilled seabass with vanilla and lemon gelato.

My Birthday 2008
celebrated my birthday in Rome this year. i went down for breakfast at the hotel. the moment i walked in, my tour manager, Louise, announced to the entire tour group that it was my birthday. so they started singing Happy Birthday. such a cliche. uh was so touched. and quite paiseh too. hehe. but nonetheless, i bowed and thanked everyone graciously.
birthday gifts this year:
Gucci tote from Elin. got it way before my birthday. i love it!
shades from mommy. the actual ones are darker. mmm.
small tote from daddy.
watch from my boyfriend. simple and chic. nice ^^
truffles from my classmate, Barry. threatened me to accept them or he'll tell everyone at the airport that it was my birthday and ask them to sing to me. what a guy. truffles are good. not too sweet. just the way i like it.
Thank you everyone for the amazing gifts and cards and wishes. you've all made my day.
