Beauteous West Cork - Pictorial Post

i went on my first ever road trip in Ireland on Saturday! it was a really spontaneous trip, as we planned it the night before and left early the next morning. we were supposed to do the Ring of Kerry which is supposedly really really picturesque, but our driver, Sin Hong refused to drive that far so we settled for somewhere nearer; West Cork.

Destination: Mizen Head

There were 10 of us in 2 rented cars. Both cars had sat nav systems but somehow ours had a mind of its own and just refused to lead us to where we wanted to go, and kept asking us to make U-turns. So we had no choice but to follow the other car. Bummer!

Our 1st stop: Drombeg Stone Circle

This consist of 17 stones standing in a circle, thus the name, which date back to 153 BC.

Mizen Head

Mizen Head is a signal station at the most southwest of Ireland. The view there is so spectacular that no camera is able to capture, you just have to go see it for yourself!

and then it was time to head home, but instead of taking the same route back, we took a road more north via Bantry. there was more sight seeing and camera clicking while waiting for the restaurant in Bantry to open.
